Why Train at the RVAC

Print Friendly Version

Why train at the Royal Victorian Aero Club - This is an important question that needs answering.

The answer to this is easy - Experience.

The Royal Victorian Aero Club has been training pilots for close to 100 years. We have provided pilots to some of the most prestigous airlines throughout the world. Our former students are flying with Emirates, Cathay Pacific, British Airways, Qantas, Virgin, Jet Airways, Indigo and this list goes on.

Our Instructional team has a cumulative experience of in excess of 40,000 flying hours.

One of the other key reasons for training with the Royal Victorian Aero Club is the fact that we are a Club. We are a not for profit organization. Any profits the club makes goes back into the club benefiting its students and members. We do this by improving the facilities, purchasing new aircraft and upgrading the existing fleet.

In a recent interview, Mr Paul Gardner RMIT's flight training manager Quoted "Pilots who dont have an ambition to move onto airline management roles in the future, dont require a degree."

A look at the airline recruitment minimums will confirm this. Even the Airline Cadet program sponsored by the Airlines dont take the pilots through a degree program.
