Royal Victorian Aero Club - Other Insurances

All RVAC aircraft are insured against damage to the aircraft, third party damage and third party personal injury.   This means that the student is personally insured while receiving dual instruction, but is not insured while flying ‘in command’ of the aircraft.   Students may wish to obtain separate life assurance.

 

RVAC strongly recommends that each student hold additional travel insurance which covers such items as lost baggage, airline disruption, repatriation costs and non-aviation third-party liability.   RVAC does not accept liability for items of this nature.
