The first day or two at RVAC will be spent in getting to know each other, the RVAC facilities, including the operations area where you will spend most of your study time, the flight line, the club-rooms and the maintenance facility.

You will be introduced to your assigned instructor, the chief flying instructor, Club administrative staff and, if available, members of the Club Management Committee. We are particularly keen to see that you have settled into satisfactory accommodation and that your domestic and local travel arrangements are satisfactory.
Your prior qualifications and experience will be reviewed and your proposed course outlined.
Safety considerations will be discussed, particularly those perhaps unfamiliar hazards which occur on the “airside” of a busy airfield.
Your medical examination will be arranged, unless this has already been performed overseas.
