From today we have a "Tecnam P92 Super Echo" on the flying school line at Coldstream.
Pictured here is Chief Flying Instructor, Dick Gower with the Tecnam.
At the end of the financial year we were awarded a Recreational Aviation flying school approval at Coldstream (They are called Flight Training Facilities (FTFs) in the RA-Aus world).
This is another milestone for the Club as we dip our toe into the world of Recreational Aviation and aim facilitate an easy transition between Recreational and General Aviation in a time of rapidly rising fuel prices.
Recreational aviation is growing rapidly in
Some time soon the weight limit for Recreational aircraft is expected to be increased to 760 kilos and this will allow such aircraft as the C150/C152 to operate under the RA-Aus system. This has a potentially huge effect on GA flying training as we now know it.
