NEW AIRCRAFT - ARRIVED AT MOORABBIN  

The Royal Victorian Aero Club has taken delivery of the first of three brand new ALPHA 160A's.. ZK-ZXY was ferried by club instructor Sean Tanner and arrived today to be placed on the Australian Register as VH-VCF. 

The aircraft and Tanner were met by two of the Club aircraft flown by Paul Canavan and Neil Riley and "escorted" on the final leg from "The Academy".

Tanner conducted a missed approach on arrival giving onlookers an introduction to how the aeroplane looks in the air.

The aircraft will be the centre of attention in the coming weeks as the aircraft will be heavily booked.

Tanner was very happy with the performance of the aircraft and said "it flew beautifully". 

This attractive two seat, all metal, Lycoming O-320 powered, fully aerobatic trainer and touring aircraft is built in Alpha's New Zealand factory.

The aircraft are being delivered in the Royal Victorian Aero Club livery and fitted with the Garmin 430 GPS/ Comms.

The remaining deliveries are scheduled for early to mid 2008.
