Your progress during training will be discussed with you by your instructor following each period. It is a requirement of the Club and of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority that a record of progress be kept and this record is available to you.
Complaints in regard to your tuition at Royal Victorian Aero Club or concerning your relationship with the Club should be raised in the first instance with your assigned instructor. Many complaints arise out of a misunderstanding of some sort and usually can be solved quickly by talking about the problem.
Should the complaint not be resolved at your instructor level or should you not wish to discuss the matter at that level, it may be taken to the Chief Flying Instructor, preferably in writing.
If the problem is still not resolved to your satisfaction, you will have access to the Club Committee, specifically the Director responsible for Flight Operations and subsequently the Club President.
Should the complaint remain un-resolved, an external independent mediation service is available at moderate cost. This service is facilitated by the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET).
Royal Victorian Aero Club has no formal responsibility for matters relating to your off-campus life, including accommodation, private transport and other activities. However, RVAC is ready to provide on an informal basis whatever assistance and guidance it can. An introduction to an external professional counselor is available, if appropriate.
