Young Eagles Victoria Days commence at 9:45am and wind up around 2:00pm.

Young Eagles who have been invited to attend an event should check this webpage before departing for the airport if they are concerned about the weather. If the forecast weather is obviously going to prevent flying, an announcement will appear here before7:30am.

It should be noted that we can fly in the rain; it is low cloud or high winds that grounds us.

Sometimes a decision not to fly is made at the airport. While disappointing, it is made in the interest of safety. "It is far better to be on the ground wishing one could be up in the air flying, than up in the air wishing one had stayed on the ground!"

If flying cannot take place due to bad weather, Young Eagles will be invited back to fly on another date.

12 Feb 2012:  While Sydney may have been lashed with hailstones of Biblical proportions (serves you right, Sin City!) Melbourne will have a little bit of rain - not enough to stop us from flying - and periods of low cloud until 10am.  Flying starts at 11am, so we are a Go!  See you at 9:45am.
