PRIOR PERMISSION REQUIRED Runways: 17/35 Gravel. Length: 740m.
|
Circuit altitude 1500 ft QNH i.e., 1250 AGL. All circuits to the east, to avoid conflict with the nearby Lilydale airport located 3NM to the NW.
The circuit is flown so as to avoid the houses along the ridge immediately to the east of the airport.
The southern leg (crosswind 17 or base 35) should track along the power line easement to the south to minimise noise exposure.
Inbound traffic should overfly the field at 2000 QNH, avoiding the sensitive area to the east, descend to circuit altitude to the west of the field and join crosswind as in the diagram. Crosswind for RWY 35 must be to the north of Killara Road and crosswind for RWY 17 must follow the power lines.
Mid-field crosswind legs are not permitted.
To avoid noise exposure to our neighbours immediately to the north, RWY 35 departures must not turn cross-wind until at least reaching the Mooroondah Highway and must not overfly the sensitive area to the east below 2000ft QNH.
Straight-in approaches to RWY 35 are not permitted.
VISITING PILOTS must obtain permission each time before operating at Coldstream. Telephone (BH) RVAC (03) 9739 1406. Leaving an answering machine message does not constitute approval to operate.
Visiting Pilots will normally be given approval to arrive and to depart. A touch & go landing is permissible. However approval will NOT be given for any circuit work, including precautionary search procedures.
CAUTION: A committal point is nominated for landings. A baulked approach must be initiated if touch down has not been completed before reaching the large hangar with yellow windsock approximately way along the runway.
LANDING FEES: Nil, to approved visitors
